About the event
Run over three sessions, this high value mentoring program is specifically designed for law students looking to build a public interest career. Focusing on practical actions, and providing advice tailored to each student's interests and circumstances, it covers
* the range of public interest work available (including government, NGO, community, advocacy, policy and private practice)
* finding your key career strengths and interests
* building your strongest CV
* top ways to network (how to find "the right people" and what to ask) and
* key next steps in building your career.
Limited to 8 students, at the end of the program each participant will have -
* a personalised CV (developed in conjunction with Dr Kath Hall),
* their own strategy for networking and least 3 'next step' contacts (introduced by Dr Kath Hall)
* a clear path forward for developing their career.
The program is run via ZOOM on the following dates -
Tuesday September 20 5.30 - 7.00 pm. AEST
Tuesday Septmember 27 5.30 - 7.00 pm AEST
Tuesday October 4 5.30 - 7.00 pm AEST
(Registration is for all three sessions).
