Testamonials

Definitely do this program if you have an interest in *non-traditional* jobs in law. The small group provided a really safe place to share our dreams and to be supported. Kath provides you with accurate advice and practical steps on taking the next steps towards the path you have always dreamed of. You will walk away from the sessions feeling inspired and motivated. I would strongly encourage any student considering doing the program to do so. Hearing about the roles available in the Public Interest space and what you as an individual might be suited to was motivating and helpful. Liam

I have never been able to get this level of advice or have someone provide guidance on things I should be doing to work towards the area of law I want to be in. The sessions were really practical, encouraging and inspiring. It was really fantastic to be in a group where people could share their dreams and goals, as well as their struggles, without feeling ashamed. Thanks again Kath!  Amy

Since I started my law degree in 2018, I have found law school to lack clarity or direction as to the reasons why should one pursue and continue with a law degree. Throughout the sessions, particularly the psychological process of understanding your strengths and being

able to expand on these strengths through potential legal avenues, was something I really liked about this program. Something that is often quite difficult to remember in the pursuit of any educational journey, we forget about our strengths and focus on our weaknesses. Kath’s sessions provided the space and opportunity to remind me of my strengths to continue to believe in yourself. Larisa

If you are struggling to remind yourself of purpose or why you chose to pursue a law degree in the first place, I would really recommend the public mentoring program. Not only are you given the opportunity to understand and remind yourself of your own purpose, but you have the chance to talk with other individuals who are feeling the same way. It’s nice to know it’s not just you and that you are not alone. Helen
